PNP — NOVA SCOTIA

Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP).

NSNP went through a major consolidation on February 18, 2026 — ten former streams were collapsed into four: Nova Scotia: Express Entry, Skilled Worker, Nova Scotia Graduate, and Entrepreneur. Priority occupations are healthcare and skilled trades. We handle NSNP files end to end.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

How NSNP works.

NSNP's February 18, 2026 consolidation rolled up ten older streams (Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry, Labour Market Priorities, Critical Construction Worker Pilot, Physician Stream, Skilled Worker, and others) into four clean streams. Eligibility criteria for occupation, work experience, education, and language largely carried over — but the application pathway is now simpler.

Most NSNP intake is EOI-based — you register an Expression of Interest, get scored, and wait for an invitation. Effective May 1, 2026, EOIs have a 12-month validity period, after which you must refresh or re-submit. The Nova Scotia: Express Entry stream is the Enhanced track (+600 CRS on nomination); Skilled Worker, Graduate, and Entrepreneur are Base PNP.

NSNP STREAMS (FROM FEB 18, 2026)

Four streams, simpler structure.

The four consolidated streams replaced ten former NSNP categories. Healthcare and skilled trades occupations at TEER 0 to 4 get top priority, and this is the only TEER range open to both international applicants and temporary residents already in NS.

EE-ALIGNED · ENHANCED

Nova Scotia: Express Entry

For candidates in the federal Express Entry pool. Consolidated from the former Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry, Labour Market Priorities, and Labour Market Priorities for Physicians streams. Nomination adds 600 CRS — effectively guarantees an ITA in the next federal draw.

SKILLED WORKER · BASE

Skilled Worker

For NS employers hiring foreign workers or international graduates for positions that can't be filled locally. Houses the former Skilled Worker, Critical Construction Worker Pilot, and Physician Streams. Requires an NS employer job offer.

GRADUATE · BASE

Nova Scotia Graduate

For graduates of an eligible Nova Scotia post-secondary institution. Consolidated graduate pathway covering international students and PGWP holders working in NS.

BUSINESS · BASE

Entrepreneur

For experienced business owners or senior managers planning to invest in and actively operate a business in Nova Scotia. Minimum net worth and investment thresholds; performance-based nomination.

2026 PRIORITY OCCUPATIONS

What NSNP is selecting for right now.

Healthcare and skilled trades sit at the top of NSNP's 2026 priority list. Candidates in TEER 0–4 occupations within these sectors have the broadest access — both temporary residents already in NS and international applicants from abroad.

HOW WE WORK AN NSNP FILE

From EOI to PR.

Every NSNP file is handled directly by Jugraj. The four steps below are the backbone — NS-specific details (sector targeting, employer registration, EOI refresh) slot in where needed.

01

Stream selection + EOI build

We assess your work history, language scores, occupation (NOC/TEER), education, and any NS connection or job offer. We map you to one of the four consolidated NSNP streams and build the strongest EOI.

02

EOI registration / application

We register your EOI in the NSNP system. NSNP runs regular invitation rounds based on labour-market priorities — we monitor the cadence and respond to invitations within the deadline (and refresh EOIs before the 12-month expiry).

03

Provincial nomination certificate

If invited and approved, NSNP issues a nomination. For Nova Scotia: Express Entry, +600 CRS is applied to your federal profile and an ITA follows in the next federal draw.

04

Federal PR application + landing

Full PR application to IRCC — medical exam, biometrics, supporting documents, security checks. We respond to procedural fairness letters and follow up on stalled files. You're walked through landing once approved.
