PNP — ONTARIO · OUR HOME PROVINCE

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

Ontario runs Canada's largest PNP by nomination volume — 14,119 spots allocated for 2026. We're based in Brampton and work OINP files directly with the province. On June 26, 2026 the program was overhauled: the eight previous streams closed and the new Ontario Workforce Priority stream took their place. We're guiding clients through the transition — tracking every bulletin and adjusting live files as the new intake comes online.

PROGRAM UPDATE — OINP OVERHAUL NOW IN EFFECT

As of June 26, 2026, Ontario closed its eight previous OINP streams and launched the new Ontario Workforce Priority stream. The Expression of Interest (EOI) intake is temporarily closed to new submissions and is expected to reopen later this summer; existing EOIs under the former streams are being withdrawn. Applications already submitted are assessed under the rules in effect when they were filed. If you have a live OINP file or were preparing one, get in touch and we'll map your options under the new stream.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

How OINP fits into your PR plan.

The OINP is Ontario's economic immigration program — the province nominates skilled workers, international graduates, in-demand trades, and entrepreneurs based on its labour-market priorities. For 2026, Ontario received 14,119 federal nomination spots, the largest allocation of any province.

Under the former program, most OINP streams were Enhanced (Express Entry-aligned) — a nomination adds 600 CRS points to your federal profile and effectively guarantees an Invitation to Apply in the next federal draw. On June 26, 2026, Ontario replaced its eight previous streams with a single new Ontario Workforce Priority stream — built around three sub-pathways (TEER 0–3, TEER 4–5, and self-employed physicians). The new Expression of Interest intake is reopening in stages later this summer; how it aligns with Express Entry has not yet been fully published. We confirm the current intake at the consultation.

OINP STREAMS

The new Ontario Workforce Priority stream.

As of June 26, 2026, Ontario's eight previous OINP streams were consolidated into a single Ontario Workforce Priority stream with three sub-pathways. Most pathways require a permanent Ontario job offer from an employer that has registered with the OINP director and had its position approved. We assess which sub-pathway fits and prepare your file for the reopened intake.

ONTARIO WORKFORCE PRIORITY

TEER 0–3 pathway (skilled)

For workers in management, professional, technical, and skilled-trades occupations (NOC TEER 0 to 3) with a permanent, full-time Ontario job offer from an employer registered with the OINP director.

ONTARIO WORKFORCE PRIORITY

TEER 4–5 pathway (semi-skilled)

For workers in intermediate and labour occupations (NOC TEER 4 and 5) with a permanent, full-time Ontario job offer from a registered employer — covering many of the in-demand sectors the former In-Demand Skills stream targeted.

ONTARIO WORKFORCE PRIORITY

Self-employed physicians

A dedicated sub-pathway for physicians intending to practise in Ontario on a self-employed basis — no employer job offer required. Full eligibility criteria are still being published by the province.

STREAMS CLOSED JUNE 26, 2026

These eight streams were revoked and no longer accept new applications. Files already submitted after an invitation continue to be assessed under the rules in effect when they were filed.

2026 PRIORITY OCCUPATIONS

What Ontario is selecting for right now.

Recent OINP draws have targeted these sectors heavily, and the redesigned program is built around Ontario's labour-market priorities. Targeted-occupation draws extend invitations to candidates whose NOC codes sit inside the priority list — confirm the current targets with us at the consultation.

HOW WE WORK AN OINP FILE

From stream pick to PR.

Every OINP file is handled directly by Jugraj. The four steps below are the backbone — Ontario-specific details (employer NOC verification, EOI scoring, etc.) slot in where needed.

01

Stream selection + eligibility check

We assess your work history, language scores, occupation (NOC/TEER), education, and any Ontario connection. We identify which OINP streams you qualify under and pick the strongest pathway.

02

Expression of interest / application

We prepare and file your Expression of Interest under the new Ontario Workforce Priority stream — and, where a job offer is required, coordinate the employer's registration and position approval with the OINP director. The EOI system reopens in stages, so we have your file ready for the intake window.

03

Provincial nomination certificate

If invited and approved, OINP issues a nomination. Where the pathway is Express Entry-aligned, +600 CRS is applied to your federal profile and an ITA follows in the next federal draw.

04

Federal PR application + landing

Full PR application to IRCC — medical exam, biometrics, supporting documents, security checks. We respond to procedural fairness letters and follow up on stalled files. You're walked through landing once approved.

GOVERNMENT FEES

What OINP and IRCC charge.

An OINP file involves two sets of government fees: the Ontario application fee (charged per stream tier), and IRCC's federal permanent-residence fees. The IRCC schedule below is the same fee structure that applies to every Express Entry and PNP-to-PR file.

ONTARIO — OINP APPLICATION FEE

OINP charges a provincial application fee that varies by stream tier — Employer Job Offer and Human Capital streams sit at the higher end, Masters/PhD Graduate streams at a lower band. Confirm the current fee directly with the program at time of application; we cover this in the consultation.
