CRA Benefit Payment Dates for November 2026: When Your Money Lands
If you budget around government deposits, November 2026 is a busy month. The federal benefits payment calendar, published on Canada.ca, lists four separate CRA and Service Canada payment dates between November 10 and November 26, covering the Ontario Trillium Benefit, the Canada Disability Benefit, the Canada Child Benefit, and CPP and Old Age Security. Knowing the exact dates helps you plan rent, utilities and groceries, and it tells you when a missing deposit is worth chasing.
The confirmed November 2026 dates
According to the official benefits payment dates page on Canada.ca, these are the payments landing in November 2026:
- Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB): Tuesday, November 10, 2026. Paid monthly on or around the 10th. The final OTB payment of 2026 follows on December 10.
- Canada Disability Benefit (CDB): Thursday, November 19, 2026. Paid monthly by Service Canada, with the December payment on December 17.
- Canada Child Benefit (CCB): Friday, November 20, 2026. Paid monthly around the 20th, and the December payment comes early, on December 11.
- CPP, Old Age Security (OAS), GIS, Allowance and Allowance for the Survivor: Thursday, November 26, 2026. These programs share one date, though CPP and OAS may show as separate deposits.
Two smaller programs also pay in November: the Newfoundland and Labrador disability benefit on November 25 and the veteran disability pension on November 27.
What is not coming in November
Two payments people often expect in November are not scheduled:
- Advanced Canada workers benefit (ACWB). It is paid three times a year, and the 2026 dates were January 12, July 10 and October 9. There is no November instalment.
- Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit. This benefit, which replaced the GST/HST credit as of July 2026, is paid quarterly. The 2026 payments went out July 3 and October 5, so the next one falls outside November. The 2027 dates had not been published on the calendar as of late October 2026.
Practical rules that decide whether you actually get paid
A payment date is only half the story. The other half is whether the program has what it needs to pay you.
- Payments are issued on the listed dates but may take a few days to arrive. Canada.ca advises waiting 5 to 10 business days before contacting the program, and posted cheques can take longer than direct deposit.
- Your tax return drives most CRA benefits. The CCB, the OTB and the Groceries and Essentials Benefit are calculated from your assessed return. An unfiled or unassessed return is the most common reason a payment does not appear.
- Keep your information current. Address, marital status and direct deposit details must be up to date with the CRA, and separately with Service Canada for CPP, OAS and the Canada Disability Benefit. The two agencies do not automatically share those updates.
- Check My Account first. The CRA's My Account and Service Canada's account show your payment history, amounts and any flags on your file before you call.
What to do if a deposit is missing
If a listed date has passed and more than 10 business days have gone by:
- Confirm your return was filed and assessed for the relevant benefit year.
- Check that your banking and address information on file is current.
- Look for a letter or message in My Account, since the CRA may have paused a payment pending verification.
- Only then contact the program, with your details on hand.
Benefits disputes are usually administrative, but they can interact with legal problems. A withheld benefit can affect a tenant's ability to pay rent and trigger LTB proceedings, or complicate a Small Claims or family matter. If a benefits problem has spiralled into a legal one, that is the point to get help.
