October 29, 2026: BC PNP Invites 772 High-Impact Workers

October 29, 2026: BC PNP Invites 772 High-Impact Workers

On October 29, 2026, British Columbia issued two Skills Immigration rounds under Innovate: High Economic Impact. The live invitations to apply page, opened on October 30, 2026, lists 524 invitations at a minimum wage of $49 an hour and $99,000 a year, in NOC 0, 1, 2, or 3, and 248 invitations at a minimum score of 131. The wage row shows N/A for the minimum score, so 131 does not apply to those 524 invitations.

The page banner still says Last updated: October 20, 2026. The Skills Immigration table's first date is October 29, 2026. Use the table row, not the banner. The Entrepreneur Immigration table is a different draw, covered in our October 20 entrepreneur note.

What the October 29 table says

Those two rows add up to 772 invitations. There is no single cutoff for both.

The previous Innovate round on the same table is September 24, 2026: 426 invitations at $52 an hour and $105,000 a year, and 288 at 131 points, for 714 in total. The October 29 wage bar is lower by $3 an hour and $6,000 a year. The points floor did not move. Combined invitations are 58 higher.

Draw date and the 30-day filing clock

October 29, 2026 is the date on the public table. It is not, by itself, the day a complete application is due.

The for workers page, last updated May 28, 2026, says that if you are invited after registering, you have up to 30 calendar days from the date of invitation to submit a complete application in the BC PNP Online portal. Miss that window and the invitation expires. The registration is then removed from the pool, and staying in the pool requires a new registration.

Section 7.3 of the current Skills Immigration Program Guide says the same 30 calendar days cannot be extended, and that the registration is removed from the pool once you are invited, even if you never file. The PDF's opening pages say the guide is effective June 10, 2026. The page with section 7.3 says May 28, 2026. Read the date in your portal. Do not start the 30 days from a later program date, and do not borrow the entrepreneur pathway's four-month window.

If you were not invited, section 7.1 says a registration leaves the pool after 12 months. That period is not the filing clock.

What an invitation does not decide

An invitation lets you file a BC PNP application. It is not a nomination, and it is not permanent residence. The for-workers page says the file is assessed under the Provincial Immigration Programs Act, the Provincial Immigration Programs Regulation, and the rules for the stream you chose.

The October 29 wage cell says NOC 0, 1, 2, or 3. The April 22, 2026 row on the same page says NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3. Section 4.1(b), for the Skilled Worker stream, requires an eligible occupation at NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3. Match the code on the job offer to your invitation. The wage does not replace the NOC factor, and 131 points does not replace the wage factor.

Section 7.3(a) says a later round can use different factors. The published pool is as of October 6, 2026: 7,695 registrations, with 171 in the 130 to 139 band. That is not the October 29 pool.

After a nomination, IRCC still decides permanent residence, including admissibility. The October 29 table does not split the 772 invitations between Express Entry BC and the other Skills Immigration streams.

What to do this week

If the portal says Invited, count 30 calendar days from the invitation date. Section 7.1(a) says an inaccurate registration does not produce a retroactive invitation, and a revised score below the draw score can lead to refusal. Registration is free. The application fee is paid at submission and refunded only if you withdraw before assessment starts. Only one active registration or application is allowed at a time.

If you were not invited, 131 is the floor for the points row only.
