September 15, 2026 Express Entry CEC Draw: 2,000 ITAs at CRS 519
IRCC has posted another Canadian Experience Class round. On its rounds of invitations page, the latest round is a Canadian Experience Class draw held on September 15, 2026 at 10:21:41 UTC. The department issued 2,000 invitations. The Comprehensive Ranking System score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited was 519. Rank needed was 2,000 or above.
The ministerial instructions table lists this as invitation set 443. The tie-breaking rule is March 26, 2026 at 00:16:39 UTC. If more than one candidate sat at 519, only those who submitted their profile on or before that timestamp were invited.
This is not a new program. Eligibility for the Canadian Experience Class did not change with this round. The change that matters is the cutoff: 519, two points below the September 1 CEC round and four points below the August 18 high of 523.

Compare that with the three previous CEC rounds already on IRCC's list:
| Date | Invitations | Lowest CRS |
|---|---|---|
| September 15, 2026 | 2,000 | 519 |
| September 1, 2026 | 2,000 | 521 |
| August 18, 2026 | 1,000 | 523 |
| August 5, 2026 | 3,000 | 516 |
Volume held at 2,000, the same as September 1 and double the August 18 round. The cutoff has now fallen two points in each of the last two CEC rounds. Do not treat 519 as a standing target. The next CEC round can move either way.
This CEC round followed the September 14 Provincial Nominee Program round (576 invitations at CRS 734). That is the familiar cluster: a PNP round, then a CEC round the next day.
What the pool looked like before the draw
IRCC published the CRS distribution of candidates in the pool as of September 13, 2026, a few days before this round. Those numbers are the whole pool, not the CEC-only slice.
| CRS range | Candidates |
|---|---|
| 601-1200 | 574 |
| 501-600 | 20,784 |
| 451-500 | 72,107 |
| 401-450 | 61,560 |
| 351-400 | 46,782 |
| 301-350 | 17,240 |
| 0-300 | 7,746 |
| Total | 226,793 |
A 519 cutoff sits inside the 501-600 band. Most people in that band were not invited. Only CEC-eligible candidates at or above 519 who met the tie-break were selected.
Who a CEC round actually includes
IRCC's Canadian Experience Class page sets the program floor. You generally need one year of skilled Canadian work (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) in the three years before you apply, gained while authorized, physically in Canada, and paid. Language floors are CLB 7 for TEER 0 or 1 and CLB 5 for TEER 2 or 3. You must be admissible and plan to live outside Quebec.
Education is not required for CEC eligibility. Self-employment and work while you were a full-time student generally do not count. Meeting the program minimums does not guarantee an invitation.
If you received an ITA
IRCC's apply for permanent residence page states that an invitation is valid for 60 days only. Start the file immediately. Confirm language tests, work letters, and any Educational Credential Assessment still match the invited profile. Book police certificates and a panel-physician medical early. Recalculate your CRS if anything has changed. IRCC says that if your recalculated score is below the lowest score in your round, you should decline the invitation. An ITA is not an approval.
If you were not invited
Check your CRS against current IRCC instructions, not last week's cutoff. Higher language scores can raise CRS and can open French-language category rounds. A provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points. Keep the profile accurate. An expired language test or a job-title mismatch can take you out of a round.
