November 2, 2026: Newfoundland and Labrador Issues 50 NLPNP Invitations

On November 2, 2026, Newfoundland and Labrador's Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism issued 50 Invitations to Apply. The live Invitations to Apply updates page, opened on November 3, 2026, lists that batch as NLPNP: 50. The page states Updated: Nov. 2, 2026. The notes do not name the Atlantic Immigration Program, a stream, an occupation, or a score.

An invitation lets the person file a full provincial application. It is not a nomination, and it is not permanent residence. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada still decides the federal file.

What changed from the October 29 batch

The previous row on the same page is October 29, 2026: 85 invitations, written as NLPNP: 75 and AIP: 10. The November 2 row is a new line. It is smaller, and it names only the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program. Use the program name on your own invitation.

The recent rows on the official table

These five rows are copied from the page opened on November 3, 2026.

Date issuedITAsNotes on the page
October 9, 2026131NLPNP: 130, AIP: 1
October 16, 2026126NLPNP: 125, AIP: 1
October 23, 2026120NLPNP: 120
October 29, 202685NLPNP: 75, AIP: 10
November 2, 202650NLPNP: 50

October 23 and November 2 both name only the NLPNP. October 9, October 16, and October 29 also list an AIP count.

The province does not print a year-to-date total. Adding every 2026 row on that table, from March 6 through November 2, gives 3,207 invitations in 21 batches: 2,800 NLPNP and 407 AIP. The five rows above add to 512 invitations: 500 NLPNP and 12 AIP. November, so far, is the single batch of 50.

The issue date and the 30-day filing clock

November 2, 2026 is the date in the Date Issued column. The filing clock starts when you receive the invitation.

The Expression of Interest model page, updated September 25, 2026, says that near the end of the calendar year the submission period has been temporarily reduced to 30 days. Upon receiving an invitation, you have 30 days to submit a complete application under the NLPNP or the AIP. The page asks applicants to file as soon as possible after the invitation. It does not print a calendar deadline for the November 2 batch.

The NLPNP Skilled Worker page, also updated September 25, 2026, repeats that window in a footnote. The submission period has been temporarily reduced from 60 days to 30 days to support intake in the current year. Use that footnote only if your invitation is for Skilled Worker. The November 2 notes do not say these 50 invitations were Skilled Worker invitations.

Count 30 days from the date on your invitation. If that date differs from November 2, follow the invitation.

If the notice says Skilled Worker

The invitations table does not name a category. If the notice you received is Skilled Worker, the Skilled Worker page sets the rules below. They are not printed on the November 2 row.

  • The job or job offer must be full-time with an eligible Newfoundland and Labrador employer, at least 30 hours a week, for at least one year, paid as a salary or hourly wage that meets provincial employment standards and the regional prevailing wage.
  • You must be 21 to 59 years old and intend to settle permanently in the province.
  • If you are in Canada, the permit must have at least four months remaining when the NLPNP application is filed. That test uses the filing date. The November 2 issue date does not freeze your status.
  • A Post-Graduation Work Permit holder cannot use this category. An ownership stake in the employer cannot exceed 10 percent.
  • TEER 4 and TEER 5 occupations need a valid English or French test. Match the NOC on the job offer to the line that applies.

After a nomination, IRCC still assesses the federal application. If a work permit will expire while that file is open, plan the extension on its own timeline. The four-month line is a Skilled Worker filing rule, not an IRCC processing time.

If you were not invited

An expression of interest that is not selected stays in the pool until it is selected or it expires. The Expression of Interest page says an expression of interest expires after 12 months. That period is separate from the 30-day filing deadline. The invitations page does not announce the date of the next batch.

The invitations table does not publish the criteria used on November 2, and a smaller total than October 29 does not reveal a score.
